Chinese Noodles and Slaw

Boil 2 pkg. chicken flavored Ramen noodles without spice. Drain and rinse in cold water to stop cooking. Drain again. Toast 1 c. slivered almonds in 1 T. butter. Combine noodles, almonds, finely shredded cabbage (med. head), 1 red bell pepper (thinly sliced) 2 T sesame seeds, and 1 bunch green onions, chopped.
Prepare dressing by combining 3/4 c. veg oil, 1 T soy sauce, 4 t. sugar, 1/2 c cider vinegar, spice pkgs from noodles, salt and pepper. Pour over salad and chill several hours.
