Scalloped Potatoes with Corn

- Grandpa Sterling

6 med potatoes
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 t salt
1/4 t pepper
butter
flour
milk

Peel potatoes slice, thin. Make white sauce of butter, flour and milk. Put half the potatoes in a greased casserole. Sprinkle some corn over that. Cover with half the sauce, seasonings and onion. Repeat layers. Cover with foil and bake 350 about and hour. Uncover and bake a little longer. Sometimes a few strips of bacon are added on top. Serves 6
Corn may be omitted if desired.
Serve with ham.

Grandpa Sterling and Grandma Rhea served this often at our Easter gathering at Sherry's house.
